Body Modifications are often used as an expression of love,
a mark of personal expansion or understanding, spirituality, religion, and
philosophy as well as signifying that you are a part of the Body Mod tribe.
In BDSM the tattoos, scarring, and blood lining are often not only pleasurable
to the receiver but also a statement of Ownership - as shown in these two
tattoos Mz Kay did. There
are also blood lines done with the tattoo machine which causes a very faint red
raw line that will only be visible until it heals. Just a little deeper and a
scarring effect can be achieved that may only be visible when the area is
slapped
or from differences in heat. This is the same as light scarification from using
a scalpel. Heavier and more intense scaring can be achieved with a scalpel but
not as much detail can be seen. All processes by Mz Kay are done with new
sterile tools. Mz Kay has been HEP vaccinated and maintains a State and
county tattooist license in St. Louis, Missouri. Tattoos
by Mz Kay are done from Goldenland's Studio www.goldenlands.com
They are very open-minded and friendly allowing a private room for personal
piercings and tattoos with Mistress Kay performing tattoos in a more ceremonial
atmosphere when desired. For

Body Modification can also allow you to experience a state
of a natural high from the endorphins that are released and body chemistry
changes that can occur during a piecing, cutting, branding, or tattoo. Endurance
can also be a part of this experience. Can you endure it? How long can you take
it? Can you prove yourself?
The modification of the body to beautify or to show status is as old as
humans are; it is just a part of us. Societies and culture greatly influence how
this form of expression manifests itself.

BELOW The self-flogging of monks, the chiseling of teeth to a
point, the stretching of the neck/lip/earlobe, temporary piercing so they can
swing/hang from their skin - all of these things have to do with body
modification for different reasons. Everyone has different reasons.
Many get tattoos because "everyone else has one".
Many get tattoos because they think the are beautiful. There are people who are
'addicted' to the natural high. Some have very deep personal reasons for the
body art they select. This later reason is the reason Mz Kay has a lot of ink
with more to come.
Flagellation has been around a very long time - but
isn't more fun when someone else does it <wink>
"Everyone is to sit down and the sacristan will hand out the whips. Then the governor shall give a sermon, and the brothers shall whip themselves fervently."
This quotation comes from a document written in Florence in 1456. It describes, in detail, the order of service for one of the several flagellant orders in the city, associations of professional lay men, who would express their Christian devotion by flogging themselves.
